Acting FAQ's

Frequently asked Acting questions we get here in the Face HQ

Do I have to be on Spotlight to be an actor?
If you want to be taken seriously as a professional actor then Spotlight is definitely a requirement. For roles in TV, Film & Theatre, casting directors will not consider you if you are not submitted through Spotlight. Different rules apply for different age groups so please see the Spotlight for the specifics - Click here

Do I need professional headshots?
Yes! Your headshot is the first thing the casting director is going to see when you are submitted for a role, so you must invest in top quality professional headshots.

Do I need a showreel?
Yes. Sometimes casting directors book actors just from looking at their showreel. BUT, always remember, it is quality not quantity. It is better to have a 20 second showreel from a scene where your acting is amazing than a 2 minute showreel of work that isn’t so good.

Can I have multiple agencies?
No. We represent actors exclusively.

If I’ve got a performing arts degree do I still need to train / attend acting classes?
Yes. As an actor, it is always important to continue practicing & developing your craft.
