Josh & Alana are back in town after filming in TEXAS!

Our real-life model couple Josh Oxley-Adams & Alana Elliott jetted off this month to the United States of America where they spent a week in Fort Worth, Texas filming an exciting online mini-series called 'Lucky in Love' with Chief Productions. The video will be out in October & we can't wait to see & share with you what they got to up. In the meantime, we caught up with Josh & Alana to do a Q&A about their exciting trip in Texas.

J&A tell us about the audition process for ‘lucky in love’ & what it entailed?
For the first audition, we had to do a self-tape where we just had to say a bit about ourselves & show our personality, then we had to do a video call with the producer & director & had an informal chat. For the final stage of the audition process we had to meet with the producer & director in Manchester at Chief Productions for a Q&A – it was like the Mr & Mrs TV show, we had such good fun! We also randomly had to wrap a chair in wrapping paper in under a minute, which we did VERY badly!

What is the concept of the mini-series ‘Lucky in Love’?
The series itself is to promote people to visit Fort Worth as a holiday destination, so we spent a week there seeing what it had to offer & doing loads of amazing activities whilst being filmed, only the twist was everything on the trip was decided with a flip of a coin... it made things very exciting!

What was your favourite part of the trip?
For both of us it had to be horse riding… we went to a ranch & went on a horse riding trip through the Texas countryside with a real-life cowboy – we felt like we were in a western movie! The entire trip was incredible, by far our favourite job we’ve both ever done & so amazing that we got to do it together! Massive thank you to our Face family!

Why portfolio updates are so important

As a model it's important to show versatility in your book which is why it's always important to update your book and show you can do more than one look.

We have a wide range of clients and jobs vary from posing as a carpet fitter to doing a fashion shoot for a handbag brand and so it's important to show clients you can be whatever they want you to be.

It's also important if you have a dramatic change in your appearance, say if you change your hairstyle, to get new pictures so clients can see what you look like to date.

We always help and advise our models on what they may need in their book and which photographers are best to capture this look. Being a model is a career and you need to be willing to invest it, test prices vary depending on the photographer & makeup artist but if you pay out for a test you may earn that back from one job and get many more as a result of your new pictures.

Here are some portfolio updates for our models Fiona Campbell, Paul Kerry, Kate Hemming & Tom Coulston.

The Broadway Shopping Centre

The Broadway is a shopping and leisure complex in the centre of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, which opened on 5 November 2015.

Our models Daniel Bakken, Alana Elliott and Scarlett Baccas spent last Wednesday shooting a  summer fashion editorial for The Broadway Shopping Centre featured in the Bradford Telegraph & Augus with Brass agency based in Leeds. It couldn't of been a better day for it, the sun was shinning and it looked like our models were shooting in Costa del Ilkley.

Pick up this weeks Bradford Telegraph & Augus to shop our models summer style.
